I purchased a bag of layer pellets along with the usual grower, and mixed the two together. Most of the girls are pretty big now with some laying. Rhonda however, does not approve of these ‘pellets’ and I swear every time she accidentally picked one up instead of getting a beakful of the grower, she spat it out onto the floor. The rest of the girls didn’t seem to mind it at all, but Rhonda was quite perturbed.
She attempted to seat herself on Oprah’s back, but lost her balance when Oprah went to get a drink out of the mini-pond. Rhonda decided to teach us all, once and for all, the true meaning of the phrase ‘mad as a wet hen’. Currently she’s in the dog’s crate next to the heater, set comfortably on some clean towels, critiquing my house keeping skills and kitchen decor. There will be much Rhonda disappointment when she has to go back to the coop when she’s dry. She’s got a whole big crate to herself and the child sneaking her treats every time I’m not looking.
